Our Impact
But what do we do? Well… Even though we are a youth-led NGO, our impact should not be underestimated. On top of our multiple chapters which allow for a global impact on a large scale, our collaborations with other nonprofits and UN subbodies ensure that our work has worldwide benefits. The big audience we have enables us to target multiple disadvantaged groups in the STEM field without having to settle for just one. To do this, we have different projects that are specifically tailored for the marginalized group at hand. These include “Go Pink or Go Code” where we organize programming workshops for in-reach elementary/middle schools, focusing especially on girls’ education in coding; “Stars of STEM” which hosts successful women in STEM and has live (online or in-person) talks with them;
With the core mission of diffusing cutting-edge technological progress to even the farthest corners of society, Equity Estrel operates and engages with those who often find themselves isolated and excluded.

“Debug Cancer” where volunteers visit polio/cancer patients and spend time with them; “Debug Disabilities” which involves visiting visually impaired people and hosting an “EE Hackathon” for them; and finally, “Stack Love” which is a fundraiser made through bake sales and donating the money to disability foundations, mental health care foundations, rehabilitation centers, libraries.
